Art Houses of Marin Entertains and Inspires!

A heartfelt thank you to all that made the Art Houses of Marin Gala such a phenomenal success! The event took place on May 1st at the incomparable Villa di Santa, the private residence of Don Santa, owner of Woodlands Market, in Kent Woodlands. And if the scenery wasn't inspiring enough on its own, the event program made the audience laugh and cry - sometimes at the same time!

Formerly homeless comedian and motivational speaker Mark Lundholm kicked off the program with true stories of his descent to the bottom and back - all tinged with a knowing and self-deprecating humor. Short video pieces by Stacey Ciauri (who doubled as an announcer to assist the auctioneer) documented behind the scenes production of the art houses with three of the participating artists and a few Ritter Center client success stories. Fabulous gourmet food stations were provided by All Seasons Catering while Trevor and Billie Buck/Combier Triple Sec donated a full service Margarita Bar with three different variations on the classic drink. All wine poured at the event was donated by DBI Wine and Riviera Imports and the beer was donated by Lhasa Beer through our neighbor, the Marin Beverage Outlet. SRES Productions and Hartmann Studios set a wonderful scene at the venue and a special thank you to the volunteer event committee and all our generous sponsors!!!!!
