Medical Clinic
Ritter Center’s medical clinic provides both primary and urgent care to low-income, homeless, and uninsured patients. The clinic also performs adult immunizations and flu shots, testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, and TB, and medical exams for the General Assistance program. As with all Ritter Center services, health care is provided at no cost to clients. Image

More than 70% of our clinic’s patients are uninsured.  For many, their only other recourse for health care would be the local emergency room.  A significant number of the clinic's patients must cope with complex chronic health problems such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and asthma. It is essential that they receive assistance in maintaining these conditions to prevent the acute episodes that can lead to costly emergency room visits and higher mortality rates.
